Fostering Forest Stewardship's Triple Bottom Line

Restoring Local Communities, Healthy Forest and Forest Stewardship Economy

Currently, CHIPS serves as a local supplier for wood chips and biochar. Our woodchips are commonly used for landscaping or as an organic mulch where they can help suppress weeds, maintain soil moisture and regulate soil temperatures. Biochar is highly valued on its own or as a compost ingredient.  It functions to improve soil quality, increase soil moisture holding capacity, and sequester carbon.

Woodchips and biochar are available for bulk sale, and may be delivered for an additional cost. Woodchips are derived from local forest restoration projects, while the biochar, or biological char (pictured), originates from local suppliers.
